Jack Carroll Announcing NEW WORKER MARRIAGE in 1923

Note: Jack Carroll states that Scriptures teach marriage is honorable in all, and he takes that to mean both saints and servants.......he says only 5% of the workers are married as he announces a NEW WORKER MARRIAGE! Why didn't the 95% of unmarried workers jump on the bandwagon and tell him THEY were headed out to get married! Jack used Scripture to give them permission! No homes to buy or bills to pay! Maybe they could have even headed for the Hawaiian Islands!

Dot Berry - Musings of Our Wedding Day - July 2, 1946

Admin note: Dot's wedding account is already on VOT, but we wanted to pull it out and isolate it so it stands alone because we know many women will relate to her experience of how it was back in the days before the Internet forced the workers to lose their rigid control in many areas. An older couple that we know, had to spend their wedding night attending a gospel meeting. Others were told they could have X amount of people present and no more. Justice of Peace was condoned, pastors were condemned, wedding dresses were banned, showers were a no-no,....... all of these were tactics used by the workers as a premeditated effort to dominate the couples so they would have long-term jurisdiction inside the couple's homes so the couples would become entrenched and indoctrinated in the workers unorthodox positions.

A cult is a religious group that masquerades as being Christian. It employs Christian terms, quotes the Bible, and uses Christian symbols. But it is not a true expression of the Christian faith because it teaches a false Jesus or a false Gospel or both.

From the mouth of Jack Carroll......here are some WRITTEN rules regarding weddings and showers:

They use a great journaling tool workbook called

It is in the form of a Christian devotional book and the questions in it are all geared to lead a person to wholeness by utilizing scripture.

Like many other rules in the kingdom, things can change and exceptions can be made for certain people. However, workers strongly discourage dating and marrying someone who isn't professing. You may get a worker talk. Or you may be told to keep your mouth shut in the Sunday morning and Wednesday night meetings. Maybe the workers need to breed more young people so some wouldn't have to travel several states away to find a mate.

Again, never question the workers on various issues and keep a right spirit!:)

Kenion Coleman asked us not to resent correction from God's servants even if it doesn't seem to make sense.

"Well, for a time".....An open ended statement being a form of punishment devised by workers for anyone marrying an outsider.

In the recent years over in this corner of the world in the 2x2s, the amount of friends marrying outsiders is on the increase ~ also the numbers being divorced and remarrying are growing.

This, of course, means no speaking, praying or partaking of the emblems in fellowship meetings. ...."Well, for a time" the workers state.
