We would not want these notes to get into “the wrong hands.”

[Admin Note: This is a post that was written in 2001. It's interesting to note that the “only” wiggle room given by this worker for computer usage 10 years ago, was at the workplace. However, true to 2x2 form, there were many workers that owned computers at that time and even years before,.......and made excuses by stating that “others” had bought and given the computer to them. Spoken rules but never written rules banned many things over the years, “BUT” the worker's narrow minded intolerance for many decades of radios, movies, jewelry, short hair, pants, makeup, TV, alcohol, sports and much more, wasn't going to work with the computer and it wasn't going to "BE BANNED," because they LOVED their personal computer.

A worker carrying a computer into member homes made it impossible to ban them.

The workers were finally between a rock and a hard place. They desired to ban the computer from members so they couldn't read the REAL TRUTH about their only way to heaven, but they loved the computer for themselves.........it made it much easier to send one letter to many people.

This showcases how phony, empty, and hollow to the core, ALL of their sometimes spoken, unwritten rules were. Their strange, illogical, man-created beliefs heaped on members for decades, finally came back to haunt and project on them with the advent of the computer.

And the rest is HISTORY

Matthew 7:5: "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye."]

In the spring of 2000, I went to a special meeting (the afternoon one) with my sister.

The overseer of this state (South Carolina), plainly stated to all there that he knew that many had to have computers in their jobs but he saw no reason to have them otherwise. He said he was especially against, 'The Internet,' websites, (did not say which ones - - maybe the PORN, but more likely the ones about 2x2's), and e-mail! He said, “Under no circumstances are any of you to send any meeting notes to anyone via e-mail. We would not want these notes to get into “the wrong hands.”

It has been about 15-16 months since I was in that meeting and I still cannot get that phrase out of my head about notes getting into “THE WRONG HANDS.”

That is proof to me that the ARE a SECRET SECT, they skirt national laws regarding owning property, paying taxes, paying hospital bills, and many times are accepting retirement stipends or social security payments (when old) from a system into which they have contributed nothing.

If that is not lying or committing fraud, what is??

A SHARP OPPOSITE IS JESUS: John 18:20 (KJV) “I spake OPENLY to the WORLD; I even taught in the synagogue, and in the temple (they apparently are not one and the same!) whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said NOTHING.”

Also, they (2x2's) own many millions of dollars of church property over which they are poor stewards.

I equate using these expensive buildings only 4 days per year like the man who took his one talent and dug a hole and put it into the ground and had no increase to show to his master for his stewardship. I believe these properties are used strictly for fund-raising purposes and they are held in “innocent' people's names so that if there is any tax liability or liability from someone getting injured, etc., the workers keep their names off bank accounts.........if someone is killed due to faulty wiring, etc. at convention, they cannot be sued. Only the person whose name the convention grounds is in can be charged/sued.

Like Evan Jones' statement to the police, “We have an account and we have trustees over it, but I (alone!) MAKE THE DECISIONS about how the money is spent.”

IN CONTRAST TO THE WORKERS: There is such an ABSOLUTE OPENNESS practiced by Jesus and those that followed “HIM.” They went to the temple for prayer; they went there to preach and to teach; and went to people's homes afterward for food, fellowship and lodging for the night. What they did and said was open to ALL men and women in the community, not just Jesus' followers. If there had been no notes, we would not have the New Testament. Jesus and “HIS” disciples were allowed to preach and teach in the temple and, certainly, many there were not “HIS” believers or followers. They were there following the Old Law and their traditions and praying to “God the Father” since they did not believe the Messiah had come. Jesus was put to death because of “HIS” openness - - “HE” confessed publicly that “HE” was “God come in the flesh and dwelt among you.” That is the reason “religious” people put “HIM” to death and even in “HIS” last hours, “HIS” faithful followers were hard to find.

HE WAS ALL ALONE!

Are 2x2's afraid they will be tortured and put to death if they openly PROCLAIM Jesus? I DON'T THINK THAT IS WHAT THEY FEAR, but I'm VERY curious.

What exactly do they fear?

I think they fear one another and the reproach they hand out to each other and the excommunication factor more than they fear anything from anyone in the World. Even people on this list who have long ago left the 2x2's, cower in fear of using their own name and feel they have to lurk here to protect their 2x2 loved ones from repercussions. It is likely true; some of their family might have problems since so many workers have laptops and lurk here. I would hope not, however.

As I have said before on this list more than once, I believe that God is going to do what “HE”said in “HIS WORD” that “HE” would do, “there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.”

If “HE” cannot get them to look at the Internet sites that “HE” has provided so that they will be “without excuse,” then I think “HE” will do something else (maybe drastic or even allow a crisis) that is so HUGE that they have no choice but to have to look at them.

What will it take, I wonder, for the 2x2's to at least examine the facts that are NOW readily available to almost everyone? Thousands of these dear, kind people are AFRAID to find out.

They fear................they know not what!!!

Probably the most fearful thing for them is to find out and then have to decide what to do with the information.

Several months ago, a member of my family said to me, “Where would we go?” I said, “I hope you would go to JESUS CHRIST.”

To me, this decision point that comes with INFORMATION, is where the BROAD WAY and the NARROW WAY terminology starts to make sense. The BROAD WAY is the path of least resistance, to not look at the sites (it does take lots of time and effort to do this research!),...........do nothing and pretend there is no elephant in the living room.

The NARROW WAY is the steep, rocky path that requires effort and decisions to be made, to choose Jesus even if it means no longer being able to have fellowship with people you love. It means being scorned, shunned, and being maligned for Jesus' sake by people who are 'RELIGIOUS' and 'SELF-RIGHTEOUS' and THINK they are Christians.

That, my friend, is “THE STRUGGLE,”..........not having long hair in a bun, women wearing slacks, refraining from going to movies and other suspect entertainment that is forbidden by 2x2 workers.

I heard something good the other day:

“The thing that you fear most in life is YOUR idol (or God), because it gets so much of your thoughts, time and energy. That is a sobering thought to me.
