"Parents Beating Their Children With Worker Approval"

From what I saw 60 years ago, parents were proud to show the workers they were disciplining their children “improperly” and the workers greatly approved of parents beating their children and making them come to meeting and sit still in two hour long meetings.
You see, the workers must start teaching the ways of the truth and the controlling method at the early age, and the adults must be in the machinery shed sitting in their chairs, and perfectly quiet for 15 minutes before meeting starts. If the head worker heard anybody whispering, he would rap on the wall.
Yes, the workers controlled you when not to talk and when to talk.
Yes, way back fifty years ago, the men sat on one side of the machine shed and women on the other side, so us boys sat with our dad, and he never took us out of the old machine shed to whip us, but we got our whippings at home.
My wife used to say, “It's funny the workers don't have any kids and yet they can tell parents how to raise their kids."
But guess what, two workers must have read that verse too much, “Be fruitful and multiply,” and yes, they had a baby, and no, they weren't married and never got married.........and GUESS WHAT, they didn't know how to raise their own kid, so they adopted it out to a professing home, and they got moved to other states and kept right on preaching. Oh yes, the “workers truth and way system” goes all the way back to Jesus day,..........YEP, it sure does go back.......it goes backward to William Irvine's day.
Now, I've got to get back here to the whipping subject and it seems to me that a big share of the workers have been abused in their childhood and when they become a worker and have to put up with their older companion for about ten years before they can get into the controlling position of being the older worker, why, it's funny that the workers way and truth system isn't worse than what it is.
William Peterson told me that he had orders from the head worker to treat his new companion rough to see if they could make him quit as the head worker felt he should not have taken him into the work. Well, why didn't the head worker check out his resume a little better.
Yes, now the older companion could do the head worker's dirty work!
After several years, he quit!!!
Oh yes, I can tell you another story of a young woman worker that told me that her companion was so mean to her, and one day, they were driving down the road, and the older companion pulled off the road and stopped the car and scolded her and said, “You ought to be ashamed of yourself for using such poor judgment about your college debt,” so after ten months in the work, she told the head worker of the state that she was going home, she had had enough.
She told me that no one would ever believe the mental abuse she got from her older companion and how much she wept.
Oh yes, take them outside the machine shed and give them a whipping.
Yes, the WORKER'S WAY and TRUTH SYSTEM goes backward,.................all the way to William Irvine's day.
Evan wrote several days ago about seeing Harry Brownlee at his Mom and Dads,' and Evan said, “Harry, is this the way you bring people to meetings..........by trying to shame them and make them feel guilty?
“Yes, it is,” Harry said.
Evan said, “Well, Harry, is that what Jesus would do,........shame people and make them feel guilty or would he point out the way to God in a kind and gentle way. You know darn well, Harry, that Jesus would never do what you are trying to do to me.”
Yes, there you have it...........Harry is taking the children outside the machine shed and giving the children a whipping and he wanted Evan's Mom and Dad back inside the machine shed to hear the crying and feel the pain.
Oh yes, it's love, all love, and we go backward............all the way back to the beginning of William Irvine's day.
Now, I'm going to finish this meeting game story and I will take you back into the machine shed. About five years ago, Harry Brownlee is on the platform and he is preaching discipline and that parents need to be strict with their children to bring them up right in the “way system.”
So Harry said that his father and mother had a three foot long leather whip on a shelf above the kitchen door, and whenever they saw the need to use that whip on him, they used it!!! He said that one day his mother took that whip down and grabbed him by the arm and said to him, “You come with me to the bedroom.”
But he said, “Mom, I didn't do anything wrong, don't whip me.”
But she put the whip in Harry's hands and told him to whip her as hard as he could, and he said to her, “No, Mom, I can't do that.”
“Yes,” she said, “I want you to do it because I want you to know how it feels to whip somebody you love.”
Now, “THAT” is sick and a very dysfunctional family, and Harry grew up in that home and he became a preacher and the whip was thrust into his hands by his own mother and just a few days ago, Evan stopped by his folks' home and there was Harry.
He tried to use that whip on Evan, but Evan took that whip away from Harry when he told Harry, “Jesus would never do what you're trying to do to me.”
All Harry could do was change the subject to the cold, cold ice cream.
Well, Harry has been in here in Illinois for several years and in a meeting about three weeks ago, he said that he would like to learn how to truly pray.
Don't know yet????
Not too long ago, Harry told my brother that he remembers that he was about four years old when William Irvine stopped by to visit his parents home in California.
Yes, Harry, you should have learned years ago, after going into the work, that the workers' TWO-by-TWO truth and way system goes back..........yes, all the way back to William Irvine's day.
